This short film documents a walk around the sculptural installation,
ARREST, ARRAY, in the Montserrat College of Art Main
Gallery during August 2009.
Carving the Floors was a collaborative project between advanced printmaking students at Bowdoin College, myself, and Andrea Sulzer. 13 students carved one classroom floor, and Andrea and I carved another. Each floor measured 20 x 30 feet. The floors were inked and then printed by hand using barens and wooden spoons. The final installation of these two prints was at SPACE Gallery in Portland, Maine.
